Mary and Serban utilized one of Costa Rica’s best wedding planners, Barbara Broutin, from FourNineteen Weddings and chose the Pacifico Beach Club, in El Coco in Guanacaste, Costa Rica as their wedding destination, both wedding planner and wedding venue are on Stories Wedding Photography preferred vendors list. The Pacifico Beach Club is magnificently positioned in the middle of Playa del Coco’s crescent shaped beach surrounded by glorious rain forest mountains for which Costa Rica is so well-known.
The wedding photographers started at the Occidental Grand Papagayo where Mary was getting ready for her wedding day, which allowed the wedding photographers to capture some magnificent shots of Mary’s bridal gow, shoes, the rings, and a truly stunning bridal bouquet of green hydrangea, coral roses, champagne roses, white lisianthus and white dragon designed by one of Costa Rica’s best florists, Artflower.
After Mary was done with her hair and makeup provided by Maravilla Weddings and dressed in her stunning wedding gown, the wedding photographers capture some additional shots of Mary before they head to the Pacifico Beach Club for the ceremony.

Upon arrival at the Pacífico Beach Club, the guests were supplied with some colorful fans that were held in mason jars, the table centerpieces used the same colors as the bride bouquet set in rustic vases and the seating chart was a world map with compasses pinned on it for each of the guests, another nice touch was some beautiful floating flower and candle arrangements set in the pool.
The ceremony took place on Playa del Coco, Guanacaste, the aisle chairs adorned with white and coral roses, overlooking the bamboo arch with some lace and flower arrangements. The procession started with Serban and Chris standing at the altar, My Life by the Beatles playing, guests looking in anticipation as Mary walked down the aisle with her father Steve. You can see all the emotions as Serban gazes at Mary as she walks the aisle as well as for Mary when her eyes meet Serban’s at the altar. Ricardo Estrella the wedding officiant preformed the ceremony as Mary and Serban exchange wedding vows and then rings, followed by the kiss after being pronounced husband and wife for the first time.
Following the ceremony, while the guests strolled to the bar for some cocktails, the wedding photographers captured some photos of the families and wedding parties and finished by capturing some shots of Mary and Serban walking the beach. This is when the beach wedding offers some of the most spectacular lighting for the wedding photographers to shoot the wedding couple alone, just as the sun sets. When Mary and Serban arrived back at the restaurant, the DJ announced Mr. and Mrs. Serban Staicu, followed by the first dances, toasts by Liz and Chris, and then the cutting of the gorgeous wedding cake by Victoria Zoch. A fun filled night that included some cigar rolling and a lot of dancing. Another beautifully planned wedding, pulled off to perfection, and immortalized forever in wedding photos.
